Urban Air Adventure Park provides a comprehensive support system designed to guide you from your first day of training through every stage of your business ownership.
Except as listed below, Franchisor is not required to provide you with any assistance. Before you begin operating the Franchised Business, we review site applications, provide fit test and specifications for the Park, designate the Attractions supplier/installer, provide pre-opening training assistance for your first Park, conduct the initial training program, and loan you a copy of our confidential operations Manual.
Prior to live training, you and your employees must complete our online digital training. Our initial training program is conducted by our training team at our facility in Bedford, Texas (classroom portion) and at affiliate-owned locations in North Texas or on-site the week before grand opening (on-the-job portion), consisting of online self-paced modules, five days of on-site hands-on training, and required online training before opening. Owners and Designated Manager receive 49 hours of classroom and 20 hours of on-the-job training; on-site training for all staff totals 28 classroom and 46 on-the-job hours. We do not charge tuition, but you are responsible for travel, lodging, and wage costs.
During operation, we provide our knowledge and expertise regarding the System through on-site visits, printed/electronic materials, meetings, seminars, and communications. We use good faith efforts to approve or disapprove promotional materials within 10 business days, and we establish and administer membership, gift card, loyalty, and master insurance programs for so long as we elect to do so.
We have no obligation to advertise except through the National Advertising Fund (NAF), which we have the right to establish and collect up to 5% of monthly Gross Sales for (currently not established/collected). We maintain a website (www.urbanair.com) promoting the system. You must make a Local Marketing Expenditure (currently 5% of Gross Sales, up to 6% combined with NAF), and may be required to join a regional Advertising Cooperative. Grand opening advertising spend must be between $45,000 and $60,000.
We may maintain an intranet for franchisee communications and require you to acquire and use prescribed computer systems, POS System, and self-serve systems, including a required point-of-sale license agreement. One-time email/domain setup costs $1,500; estimated monthly systems lease cost is $2,230 for a four-station setup. We may independently access data on your systems at any time and may require adoption of new technologies subject to a then-current Technology Fee.
